What Our Students Say
"My A-Maths grades have improved from a C5 to an A2 after joining AfterSkool"
Not only does my tutor make the lesson enjoyable but she relentlessly ensures that we know the correct concepts and methods of doing Maths questions. I would highly recommend AfterSkool and Michelle’s class because if it can help me when I felt that my A-Maths school teacher had given up on me during the O-Levels, I don’t see why it can’t help you to get your As!!
— Y5 Charlotte Chia, 2020, A2 for ‘O’ Level, A-Maths (2019)
"The teachers were definitely helpful and most importantly, proficient and knowledgeable."
They taught me the significance of constant practice, and even instilled in me extra beneficial tips that later would prove essential in my success in the subject. With their unrelenting help, I pushed my mediocre grade of B3 and B4, for my E and A maths (respectively) to A1s. Thank you Teachers!
— Young Jae, A1 for ‘O’ level, A-Maths & E-Maths (2016)
"I found it very easy to learn from my teachers"
The teachers at AfterSkool form a close teacher-student relationship with students, which allows students to comfortably ask their teachers any questions they have with regards to the subjects that they are learning. This makes it possible for teachers to provide support for students who are struggling to cope with subjects that they may not understand well. Personally, I found it very easy to learn from my teachers as they were willing to answer my questions and take me through the process of solving specific questions as many times needed for me to understand.
— Leslie Chew, Y4 (2016)
"The notes provided are condensed and easy to understand, with weekly practices helping students gain exposure to different types of questions."
The students are generally attentive and focused during lessons, providing healthy competition whilst encouraging an atmosphere of learning. The casual banter in some periods lighten up the mood and make for a very conducive learning environment.
— Dalton Chee, Y4 (2016)
"The teachers are very fun, encouraging and inspiring."
They make every lesson fun and engaging, not to mention motivating me to do better for every test! Even though there are so many remedial lessons conducted, the support from friends and teachers I get here makes it all worthwhile.
— Chantelle Chong, Y4 (2017)
“I really love how the notes are concise and easy to understand."
The little topic-specific "cheat sheets" have also really helped my revision. I'm also grateful for my AfterSkool teacher who is very passionate and knowledgeable about his subject. Sometimes his explanations include other out-of-syllabus things, but this all allows me to truly understand the chemistry behind it and remember stuff better. Many thanks to all the teachers at Afterskool for the great notes, lessons and consults.
— Jolene Ong, Y6 (2017)
"My grades have improved from just pass to an A!”
The teachers pay attention to each of us and answer all questions posed. Through the teachers, my grades have improved from just pass to an A!
— Brian Michael Fong Jing Wen, Y2 (2017)
"I appreciate the extra lessons and staying back to help me improve my weak concepts. You guys are great teachers!"
Thank you for helping me to improve from F9 in the EOY examinations in Secondary 3 to A1 in the prelims in Secondary 4. I appreciate the extra lessons and staying back to help me improve my weak concepts. You guys are great teachers!
— Kah Miin Low, Y4 (2017)
